Mainly Music
Runs weekly on Friday mornings during school terms at our newly redeveloped hub - Community@Cavell - at 15 Cavell St, Scoresby and is a music-based playgroup style gathering of parents and toddlers. It consists of a series of child-friendly action songs, morning tea and play/mingling time, which involves both kids and parents together for the entire session.
The aim of Mainly Music is to provide an engaging and empowering program for parents to bring their children to, as well as create connection for parents and kids with other families in their local community and our church community. Children have fun and grow in confidence, and parents build friendships and connection.

Local SchoolsWe are privileged to be able to serve our local community by investing in our schools. We run Breakfast Club at Scoresby Secondary College each Thursday morning, where we serve a free breakfast to the students prior to their first classes.
We partner with Kids Hope and run their program at Carrington Primary School. This mentorship program is a great support to many children. We love being involved in these schools and community. If you would like to know more, let us know. |

Carols by CandlelightEach year we hold an annual Carols by Candlelight for our local community. It is all free and such a wonderful way to celebrate Christmas together.
It kicks off with food and activities for the whole family, and flows into our carols program, with songs and performances from our music team, and other musicians within our community, as well as a short message from our pastor. |
Knox Churches Soccer ClubBack in 1998, our church was instrumental in starting Knox Churches Soccer Club. Since then it has grown into one of the largest sporting clubs in Knox. Many of our members are still involved, and the church continues to partner with the club through chaplain support.
Knox Churches is part of the VCFA and has its home ground in Knoxfield, where they play each Saturday. There is also a growing cricket club under the same banner that operates in the summer. |
HopeBuilders InternationalHopeBuilders International had its infancy in 2007, where members of our church were involved in raising funds and setting up this organisation to break the cycle of poverty.
While HopeBuilders is its own organisation, the church continues to support their work as they aim is to build hope and provide a future for at risk and vulnerable people, particularly in Uganda. There are regular teams that head there for short-term trips, as well as fundraising events, and our church members are often involved. |
